3898 PIECES OF LEGO MAKE UP THE ‘THEATRE OF DREAMS’

To celebrate the 110th anniversary of Old Trafford, LEGO have created a 3,898-piece set model of the famous ground, set to be released in early February.

Manchester United fans of all ages will now get to have the famous ground in their homes. Ignore the 16+ wording on the box – that’s nonsense. The Lego design of the Theatre of Dreams is of course complete with the finer details, which include the players tunnel and the statue of the United Trinity – Best, Law and Charlton.

Right, let’s talk business. Well, the set is going to set you back a whopping £249.99. But look at it. It’s gorgeous. Even if you’re not a United fan it’s hard to not look at this set as a single piece of art.

Director of partnerships at MUFC, Sean Jefferson said: “Our Old Trafford stadium is as iconic as Manchester United itself and we are proud to be able to bring it to life in Lego form.I think everyone has played with Lego bricks at some point in their life, however it’s still amazing to see the level of detail the Lego designers have managed to recreate in this piece. We are sure it will be hugely popular amongst Manchester United and Lego fans alike.”

The LEGO Old Trafford set will be available at lego.com from 1st February – coinciding with the anniversary of the stadium on the 19th February.
