A CAREER IN KITS: DAVID JAMES

A CAREER IN KITS: DAVID JAMES

It must be absolutely miserable being a 'keeper because people only ever remember the mistakes. David James was really, really good at being in goal. But it's the errors that first spring to mind when you think about his extremely long career.

And that's unfair. Because you don't make 53 appearances for your country without talent. You don't play 214 games for Liverpool without being one of the finest stoppers of your generation. And you don't make it to round four of Strictly Come Dancing without being able to shake your booty. Anyway, enough of all this. Here's Jamo's career in kits.

WATFORD 1988-1992

Signing as a trainee with Watford from school, James made his first senior appearance in 1989, with a debut in the League coming a year later. In the 1990/91 season, he was named player of the year. Having helped Watford avoid relegation.
