Manchester United and adidas football have today revealed the club's new third kit for the 2019/20 season.

The approach it seems, is a stylish design that aims to celebrate United’s first FA Cup win in 1909.

The club ran out 1-0 winners against Bristol City, thanks to Sandy Turnbull's goal, seeing MUFC lift the trophy for the first time.


MUFC then adopted a Lancashire red rose crest on that final shirt 110 years ago. It's this unique rose print incorporated on the new third kit in understated grey and black tones that pays homage to this momentous victory.


A short inscription which features on the bottom left side of the shirt reads, “110 Years - Manchester Rose - 1909-2019”.

The club badge is now in a fresh solar red, that contrasts with the minimal dark tones of the shirt. The collar is a simple crew-neck with the three-stripes on the shoulders.



Yes, we all know what you're thinking. Another design from adidas ruined by the shirts main sponsor Chevrolet. 

It appears the auto-giants are not interested in listening to the clubs fans when it comes to design. Once again a logo that simply only works on the grill of a car, ruins yet another design for MUFC. Just allow an all white version or better still just keep the logo-type of Chevrolet, you stubborn bastards! 

When you think of United shirts that feature in their rich history, you immediately think of Sharp electronics, Sharp, Vodafone and maybe even AIG, (maybe).

However, the Chevrolet sponsor in its current form simply renders any design almost forgettable. Which is a shame as beneath that ugly mark, is a design that would otherwise go down as a classic amongst MUFC fans and shirt collectors alike.
