The French national football team is controlled by the French Football Federation (FFF). One of the most successful teams in international football, France has won the FIFA World Cup twice and have also won two UEFA European Championships.

Throughout its history, the French national team has been led by some of the greatest players in the game, including Michel Platini, Zinedine Zidane, Thierry Henry, and Kylian Mbappé. These players have helped establish France as one of the most formidable teams in the world and have contributed to the team's success in international competitions. Zinedine Zidane's senior international career with the France national team began in 1994, and he went on to score 31 goals in 108 appearances for his country. He was part of the French team that won the 1998 FIFA World Cup tournament, Zizou scored twice in the final vs Brazil and was also a key player in the 2000 UEFA European Championship win where he was named player of the tournament. In total, he won two major international titles with France. In addition, he was honoured with the Golden Ball award as the Player of the Tournament during the 2006 World Cup, despite being controversially sent off during the final against Italy for headbutting Marco Materazzi in the chest.

Throughout his international career, Zinedine Zidane's skill, technique, and creativity made him a valuable asset for France. He established himself as one of the greatest French players of all time, and his impact on the national team is still felt to this day.
