Muten Crew launches the Paris Jersey – between PSG and Catania

Muten Crew launches the Paris Jersey – between PSG and Catania - Cult Kits
Paris Jersey: The new Jersey Muten Crew, from “La Haine” to the streets of Southern Italy

In the heart of the sun-drenched squares of southern Italy, amidst speeding mopeds and chatter bouncing through the alleyways, there is one detail that immediately catches the eye: the Paris Saint Germain jersey.

It is not just a football issue, it is a social mirror. A uniform that tells of distant dreams,
of hybrid identities, of belonging claimed in its own way. With the “Paris Jersey”, Muten Crew celebrates this cultural short-circuit. Inspired by the PSG 2022/2023 home jersey, this release is a tribute to the aesthetic and social contamination that we breathe in everyday life. It’s not about fashion or fans: it’s a statement.

A jersey that speaks of the street, of the South, of imported and reworked symbols. To reinforce the link with the territory, there are two details loaded with meaning: ‘Catania Airways’, an imaginary flight that departs from the city of Etna towards the Parisian banlieue and the whole sub-cultural context of the Paris of the 90s masterfully recounted by Mathieu Kassovitz in the famous film ‘La Haine’. It too is a source of inspiration for the Paris Jersey shoot.

‘Ici c’est Catania’, on the other hand, is an ironic and proud claim that overturns the famous Parisian motto, adapting it to the city’s living beat.

The project is then seasoned with a photo-graphic fanzine, the medium of language used to narrate the whole project between style, territory and meaning.

The collection is available on mutencrew.com.
