A Collection Of A Lifetime.

This extraordinary collection originates from Tony Heywood, a much-loved Manchester United cleaner who served the club with dedication for over 40 years. Working daily inside the dressing room, Tony became a trusted and familiar figure to generations of players and staff.

Over four decades he quietly accumulated hundreds of match-worn, match-prepared and player-issued shirts — each one personally retained during his time at Old Trafford.

His archive spans the club’s greatest eras, including pieces from icons such as David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Eric Cantona, alongside rarities like Champions League Final-issued shirts, 1994 Coca-Cola Cup Final kits, and many more unique items preserved directly from the heart of the club.

Backed by a signed letter from Tony and video documentation of him sharing the collection, this is one of the most authentic and important privately held Manchester United wardrobes ever released to the public.

Match Prepared

Cole’s 1999 Champions League Final Shirt.

Camp Nou, 26 May 1999 – the night United completed the Treble. This shirt was match-prepared for Cole for the final against Bayern Munich.

Full 1999 player spec, Champions League starball on the sleeve, and the iconic final embroidery that sets these shirts apart from anything worn in a regular European night.

Match prepared, this one sat in the Nou Camp dressing room while Cole opted for the long sleeved version on the pitch. It’s one of only two prepared for him for the biggest game in the club’s modern history.

Pulled straight from the Tony Heywood archive – the Manchester United cleaner who spent over 40 years inside the dressing room – the provenance on this piece is as close to the pitch as it gets.

Treble-era final shirts are incredibly scarce; Cole’s from Barcelona is on another level.

Match Prepared

Kanchelskis, 1994 Cup Final Shirt & 1993 Away Shirt

The Newton Heath masterpiece was match-prepared for Andrei Kanchelskis as Manchester United faced Aston Villa in the League Cup Final on 27 March 1994 — part of one of the club’s greatest-ever seasons.

Manchester United went on to lose this final 3–1, with Kanchelskis given his marching orders, for a deliberate handball on the goal line. He was red carded for his actions in the '90th minute.

Made to full 1993/94 player specification, with authentic Coca-Cola Cup Final embroidery, and Kanchelskis’ iconic No.14 flock name print with stitched number, this shirt represents a rarely seen slice of United’s early-90s identity.

Final-prepared shirts from this era were produced in extremely limited numbers, often just two per player, making surviving examples exceptionally scarce.
