The entire collection of MLS jerseys for their 25th season have been presented in an all star event in New York City. As expected – it was big, full of attitude and 26 teams shirts that will make you salivate at the very sight of them. And yes, we know they’re adidas templates – geez get over it.
A special event requires special people being involved from both the sports community and the fans themselves. This event saw the likes of; Houston Texans All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, actor and director Colin Hanks and pro-gamer Ninja – to name just a few.
We love them and want them all. There you are. We said it – and yes we know there’s a clear template going on here. But when they look this good, who cares.
So, here for your viewing pleasure, we present to you – all 26 jerseys for the 2020/21 MLS season. Modelled by people that in your head you too, can be as cool as.
In alphabetical order...
2020 Atlanta United jersey - King’s Kit
Features on the shirt: gold EQT stripes on the shoulder and a metallic gold "United and Conquer" coin on the jock tag. The Atlanta United spike is the icon showcased on the back of the jersey neck.
2020 Chicago Fire FC jersey - The Homecoming Kit
A vintage look, prominently showcasing the club’s red and blue primary colours that date back to their launch in 1998.
2020 FC Cincinnati jersey - BOLD Kit
Features of the new jersey that Cincy fans will recognise: The Juncta Juvant (Strength in Unity) motto on the inside neck tape and the raised crown at the back which is part of the club’s crest.
2020 Colorado Rapids jersey - The Nine Six Kit
Features the club’s burgundy and blue primary colours, will also carry a silver nine-star “Founding Club” mark that will be exclusive to authentic jerseys for MLS’s original clubs.
2020 Columbus Crew SC jersey - The New Heritage Kit
Feature a silver nine-star “Founding Club” mark which will be exclusive to the nine teams who were part of the inaugural season. The other prominent element on this new “Heritage” kit: the state of Ohio on the back neck with a star representing the city of Columbus.
2020 FC Dallas jersey - The Legacy EQT
The Texas state flag is showcased on the back neckline and the “LH” patch now positioned on the front of the jersey to remember late owner Lamar Hunt, whose statue is scarfed before every home match outside Toyota Stadium.
2020 D.C. United jersey
Feature of that first all-black jersey in 1996 will now run over the right shoulder and the red will appear on the sleeves.
2020 Houston Dynamo jersey - HTX 15 Kit
In addition to the three orange stripes on the right shoulder, it features a graphic orange print on the black fabric which is designed to represent a city that never stops.
Here’s one feature that’s not changing: the iconic Texas state flag on the lower jock tag.
2020 LAFC jersey
Added to the black are flashes of gold, including gold neck tape with the words “Shoulder to Shoulder,” symbolising the shared commitment of the club and the 3252.
2020 LA Galaxy jersey - 25th season celebration Kit
Features the Founding Club mark of nine silver stars, unique to the nine clubs who were there from the start of MLS, as well as five stars above the crest, representing the club’s record five MLS Cups.
2020 Inter Miami CF jersey - The Inaugural Away Kit
The pink, which will also be present on the seats at Inter Miami’s stadium in Fort Lauderdale, is present in the adidas EQT stripes over the shoulder, complementing the otherwise all-black jersey
2020 Minnesota United jersey - The Wing Kit
In a sign of the unity shared with their “Wonderwall”-singing fans, the club’s slogan “Forever United” is emblazoned across the inside neck tape.
2020 Montreal Impact jersey
The club slogan of Passion - Fierté - Authenticité is displayed in the inside neck tape, a rallying cry for both players and supporters as the Impact look to make it back to the MLS playoffs in 2020.
2020 Nashville SC jersey - Nashville Vibe
The club’s first ever away jersey, named Nashville Vide, reverses that colour pattern, with the “acoustic blue” taking centre stage. Both jerseys feature the Tennessee Tri-Star flag on the jock tag.
2020 New England Revolution jersey - The Original
The Revs, MLS originals, will be sporting an updated version of their classic red, white and blue flag look from the inaugural 1996 season, called “The Original.”
2020 New York City FC jersey - Gotham Kit
Features an NYC monogram on the back of the net, flanked on each side by five cables representing each borough in the colours of the city flag.
2020 New York Red Bulls jersey - Dark Mode
Features an all-red, raised club crest and, along with all other MLS original clubs, nine stars inside of the drop hem.
2020 Orlando City SC jersey - The Heart and Sol kit
Features a special message to Orlando fans in both English and Spanish.
2020 Philadelphia Union jersey - Forever Faithful Kit
Features an infinity snake at the back of the neck with works honouring the club’s supporters: “Ad finem fidelis” or “Faithful ‘Til the End”.
2020 Portland Timbers jersey
The wood grain lines that comprise the grey hoops on the jersey reference the wood forms seen throughout Portland’s downtown stadium, Providence Park.
2020 Real Salt Lake jersey
Features a raised "’05" sitting on top a beehive, the state emblem for Utah at the Jock Tag.
2020 San Jose Earthquakes jersey - 408 Edition
Feature: As a founding club in MLS, the Quakes have a special Founding Club mark on the authentic kit.
2020 Seattle Sounders jersey - Forever Green
A club invested in sustainability and preserving the beauty of Puget Sound, the jersey design embodies everything the club stands for.
2020 Sporting KC jersey - Swiss Dots Kit
As an MLS original, SKC’s jersey will feature a Founding Club mark.
2020 Toronto FC jersey - The TFC Unity Kit
Features a Toronto flag as well as the words “All for One” as a nod to all the surrounding cities in which TFC pulls support.
2020 Vancouver Whitecaps jersey - The Wave jersey
The waves in the design are a nod to the Vancouver flag.
