Celtic FC is a Scottish professional football club based in Glasgow, Scotland. Founded in 1888, the club has been one of the most successful and dominant in Scottish football, winning 52 Scottish League championships, 40 Scottish Cups, and 20 Scottish League Cups. The club's home ground is Celtic Park, which has a capacity of 60,411.

Throughout its history, Celtic FC has been managed by some of the most legendary figures in Scottish football, including Jock Stein, who led the club to its greatest era of success in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1967, with Stein as the manager, the club won every competition they participated in, including the Scottish League, Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup, Glasgow Cup, and the European Cup. The club achieved a 2-1 victory against Inter Milan at Estádio Nacional in Lisbon on May 25, 1967, becoming the first British team, and the first from outside Spain, Portugal, and Italy, to win the European Cup. To this day, they are still the only Scottish team to have reached the final. The players who took part in that match, all of whom hailed from within a 30-mile radius of Glasgow, have since been dubbed the "Lisbon Lions." The next season, Celtic were defeated by Racing Club of Argentina in the Intercontinental Cup.

In more recent success; Martin O'Neill led the club to seven trophies including three Scottish Premier League titles and the 2003 UEFA Cup Final.

Some of the Bhoys most iconic players include Jimmy "Jinky" Johnstone, who was widely regarded as one of the best wingers in the world during his time at the club, and Henrik Larsson, who became one of the most clinical goal-scorers in the world during his seven seasons at the club. More recently, players such as Scott Brown, Kieran Tierney, and Odsonne Edouard have been standout performers for the club.

The club's home shirt is typically green and white hooped, while the away shirt has varied over the years, including yellow, black and dark green. Celtic FC shirts have been manufactured by a number of major brands, including Umbro, Nike and New Balance. The Hoops shirts have been provided by Adidas since 2020.
