He would spend 10 years and rack up 284 appearances for the Rossoneri, before making the switch to Serie A rivals Juventus. He finished his playing career in the MLS with David Villa's New York City. Pirlo was pivotal for his country too, he play a massive part in Italy's 2006 World Cup triumph, dominating the midfield tempo no matter who he was up against, he famous said "I don't feel pressure... I don't give a toss about it. I spent the afternoon of Sunday, 9 July 2006 in Berlin sleeping and playing the PlayStation. In the evening, I went out and won the World Cup."
