ALIVE & KICKING RE IMAGINE CULT KITS INTO MODERN CLASSICS

ALIVE & KICKING RE IMAGINE CULT KITS INTO MODERN CLASSICS

Ethical balls - hand stitched in Africa, celebrate football shirts from the 90’s. Finally, a ball that takes on the persona of some of the most collected shirts.

If you know, you know. Worn the 18th time LFC lifted the then First Division trophy, the Barnes ’90 is made to honour the 19th. You know the shirt. The one that we all know and love and costs more than a second hand car on eBay to purchase.

Well this ball is one in a series of four, created by Alive & Kicking that looks to celebrate some of the Premier League's greatest kits.

Also included in this series are, the Wright ’92, the Giggs ’92 and Shaka ’96. If you can’t imagine the kits then please kindly, leave this website immediately. This is not the place for you.

Each ball is made by hand in Kenya by Alive and Kicking. If you’ve not heard of them they are the world’s only not-for-profit ball manufacturer. Our centres across sub-Saharan Africa create hundreds of ethical jobs for adults facing disadvantage.

Profits from the balls sales and additional fundraising give young people access to sport and health education through A+K ball donations and the delivery of effective sport based health programmes. They provide ethical jobs for people from communities facing disadvantage, with employees who have access to benefits that are often taken for granted including a fair wage, holiday and sick pay. 99% of their staff are local and have access to a range of role opportunities, from ball production and marketing to sales and finance.

Each football is like no other. Hand-printed, every single ball has its own history and its own journey. Cult Kits are hugely proud to be associated with this wonderful group of people.

All the balls released in their ‘modern classic’ series are available to purchase from the charities online shop. However, we fully recommend a visit to their physical store in Hoxton, London. The space is an art gallery in its own right for personalised footballs.

You won’t be disappointed, just tell them we sent you.

We’ve also teamed up with them to give a lucky follower a chance to win one of the balls. Head over to our Instagram page to find out more.
