Jordan Brand have today revealed its first collaboration with a football club – a collection with Paris Saint-Germain that sees a collision of sport and style on and off-pitch, including the club’s third kit for 2018/19 season.
In the last few years, the Jordan Brand has had a growing presence in Paris, with Jordan Bastille, a Jordan only store opened in 2016, and a partnership with the French Basketball Federation in 2017. These examples buttress a long-standing, organic relationship between the brand and city, which began with Michael Jordan’s first visit in 1985.
“Jordan Brand and Paris Saint-Germain share a distinct position in sport and style, so to partner with the club is a natural fit,” – Michael Jordan
Jordan Brand x Paris Saint-Germain delivers holistic performance and lifestyle offerings, including two special edition match kits, footwear and apparel and a bespoke logo:
• The kits are built on a Nike Vaporknit Match chassis and feature clean black and white colourways with red accents that will be used as the club’s third and fourth kits, whilst the goalkeeper kit comes in bold infrared, a nod to one of Jordan Brand’s heritage colours
• Footwear and apparel collection channels the predominantly black-and-white looks of the kits, but also a strategic use of red, another Jordan Brand heritage colour and also one that is prominent in PSG kits including a Jordan Brand x PSG Phantom VSN
• Each piece features a unique remix of the two iconic logos, placing the Jumpman in the Paris Saint-Germain crest
The Jordan Brand x Paris Saint-Germain collection releases on September 14.
The club will debut its Jordan Brand kit on September 18 during European competition.
