The SWOOSH ladies and gents release third shirts for a whole host of clubs in Europe. They're linked to a sneaker (OK?) but on the whole they're all pretty 'nice'.
We've popped them all here for your viewing pleasure.
However, if like us you're still angry about the comment 'Football supporters have historically worn Nike Air Max on the terraces', then please feel free to click away now.
FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona’s 2020-21 third kit take inspiration from the vibrant colours of the city and its famous beach. The pink and sea green aims to conjure up imagery of a Catalan sunrise, as well as evoke memories of much-loved past Barca kits.
Chelsea
Chelsea’s new third kit has a distinct ’90s vibe, with colours and design reminiscent of the jerseys of that era. Definitely not a Crystal Palace shirt (!). The original Nike Air Max 180 was on the streets of London around that time. So there’s a link there, we’re sure.
Tottenham Hotspur
Yellow Tottenham Hotspur kits hold a special place in fans’ hearts, instantly sparking memories of club legends. The front of the Spurs’ new jersey has a gradient design, with thick yellow bars growing subtly darker as they flow down the front, queue tedious link to… the Nike Air Max heritage.
Atlético de Madrid
Atlético de Madrid’s new third kit comes in a vivid neon green with a swirling marble-effect graphic. What’s behind the design? Well according to Nike… The wavy lines are a nod to the soles of the Nike Air Max 90, while the marbling effect is a tribute to Madrid’s famous Fountain of Neptune — where supporters gather to celebrate the team’s victories.
FC Internazionale Milano
FC Internazionale Milano will wear horizontal black and silver stripes as part of a kit and overall 2020-21 collection that more than befits its place at the heart of Europe’s most stylish city.
AS Roma
AS Roma’s 2020-21 third kit celebrates the club’s history of black jerseys and embraces the safari print — a firm favourite of Air Max connoisseurs. The Giallorossi have worn some iconic black third kits, the jersey features a black base, with vivid orange sections and panels boasting Nike’s trademark safari print.
Galatasaray
A Sunset colourway align perfectly with Galatasaray’s traditional colours and symbolise the attitude of a club famous throughout the world for the unrivalled passion of its fanbase.
RB Leipzig
RB Leipzig’s 2020-21 third kit features a bespoke all-over swirling graphic created by heavily distorting an image of the club crest. Various shades of blue merge with white to form a unique aesthetic
The 2020-21 Air Max-inspired third kits are available in September at nike.com.
