Pretty Green and Umbro are proud to introduce their first collaboration - an ode too vintage ‘90s sportswear silhouettes, infused with a healthy dose of Rock'n'Roll.
The collection includes drill tops, parkas, and football shirts, drawing on the influences and heritage of two brands rooted in British culture.
The 90's was a time of vibrant optimism and casual cool. With three lions on the football pitch and Brit-pop in the charts, music and football became intrinsically connected. You’d see the same clothes worn onstage as you would in the terraces.
And fans of both felt like they were part of something special. This primal energy flows through the Pretty Green x Umbro collection.
The long sleeved drill top, in washed-out blue with drawstrings, is inspired by the same legendary Umbro top worn onstage by Liam Gallagher during Oasis’ historic 40,000 capacity shows at Maine Road in 1996.
The throwback football shirt recalls Umbro’s iconic Euro 96 design for the England team, updated with an all-over Pretty Green paisley design.
And, the zip-through track top combines the Pretty Green paisley with rows of iconic double-diamond Umbro logos stretching down each arm.
The new collaboration collection underlines the influence which the ‘90s still has over contemporary fashion, as a whole new generation takes to the stage. Music and football remain at the heart of British culture and this inaugural collaboration from Pretty Green and Umbro symbolises our love for both.
