TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR UNVEILS NEW 2018/19 THIRD KIT

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR UNVEILS NEW 2018/19 THIRD KIT

North London Club’s Third Kit Pays Homage to N17.

With excitement building ahead of another season of Premier League and European football, Tottenham Hotspur and Nike Football have today unveiled a stylish and innovative third kit.

Set to be worn for the first time in today’s season opener at Newcastle United, the design is inspired by a combination of modern sport, territorial pride and Spurs’ heritage. The Club’s impact in North London is depicted graphically through the heavy, foreboding darkness of the upper half of the shirt with hard, geometric design elements drawing references from the Club’s iconic kits of 1985/86, 1986/87 and 1991/92.

At a macro level, the print on the shirt appears as a modern, asymmetrical pattern, blurring the lines between football culture and youth-inspired street culture. Looking closely, the pattern transforms into an aerial depiction of the Club’s locality in Haringey.

The modern and unexpected colour palette of the third kit, which will be worn during the Club’s campaign in Europe this season, takes inspiration from those found in urban environments and the natural World. Neptune Green, found on the body, shorts and socks of the new Tottenham Hotspur third kit, draws inspiration from the original Charrington’s Brewery logo, the company that originally owned part of the land where the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been built.

The new 2018/19 Tottenham Hotspur third kit is available to buy from Nike.com and shop.tottenhamhotspur.com from today (Saturday 11 August) ahead of its on-pitch debut at St James’ Park this afternoon.
