Top, sorted, mad for it.
The 90s were good, weren't they?
TFI Friday, Gladiators, Super Mario on the SNES, Westlife teaching us that the correct time to get up from a stool is during the key change in a ballad...
And then there was the coming together of two Great British cultural behemoths. No, not Posh and Becks - music and football.
The birth of Britpop and the renaissance of our national sport coincided and collided to beautiful effect.
And it's those easy bedfellows that are the inspiration behind the second collaborative collection between Umbro and Pretty Green.
Delivering a uniform for those dedicated to music, football and all-day style, the new collection pays homage to the ‘90s, a decade when the nation chanted to the same anthemic tune.
Hero styles include the long-sleeved drill top which is reworked in a new iridescent tech fabric and available in crew-neck and hooded iterations. Block-striped short-sleeved football shirts, recalling Umbro’s Euro ’96 England strip, share rail-space with crew-neck T’s featuring Umbro’s instantly recognisable stripe-ticking combined with Pretty Green’s signature paisley on shoulders and sleeves. Long-sleeved training tops with tonal arm panels provide fresh interest alongside zip-through track tops and a parade of training pants. New to the second-round collection are drawstring jersey shorts, bucket hats, and limited-edition footballs.
With the first collection selling out straight off the starting blocks, this second dual-branded drop looks set for a similarly rapturous welcome.
We've got two pieces from the collection to give away - check out our social channels this week to be in with a chance of winning.
