The best days of the week have finally arrived, and there are plenty of fixtures! But for this week we thought we'd draw your attention to the lesser known games and the lower league fixtures.
Frankly we've all had enough of Ole this and Ole that. Or people questioning what the latest takeover of Newcastle United means. It's time to focus on the important things... like Zurich's clash with Basel!
So, here we go then... another weekend jam-packed with great football. Here's who to watch and where to watch them.
Saturday
Fulham vs West Brom - 12:30 - Sky Sports
Second host third in the championship for the early kick-off on Saturday. It’s a game that could prove crucial in the battle for an automatic promotion spot as both fight to bounce straight back up to the Prem.
Hatayspor vs Besiktas 2pm
The surprise package of this season’s Super Lig, Hatayspor welcome Besiktas to Antakya on Saturday. Expect a tight game between the sides currently tied for second spot in the league. Both sides have a so far identical record of won six, drawn two, and last two. Be sure to look out for Hatayspor top scorer, Mame Biram Diouf (remember him?)
Dulwich Hamlet vs Hampton & Richmond 3pm - watch live
If you happen to be in the London area then why not kick off Saturday’s Halloween festivities with a non-league game? It’s just like regular football but you can bring your own beers and actually afford the tickets. And with the home side going into the tie sitting a point below their opponents with a game in hand - it’s very much all to play for.
Zurich vs Basel 7:30pm
First and third meet as two of Switzerland’s most historic clubs battle it out on Saturday night. Basel may be the league leaders but expect fervent home support to play a big part in the outcome of this Saturday evening game.
Sunday
Women’s FA Cup semi finals (12:45 + 16:45) BBC One/BBC Two:
Man City vs Chelsea
Arsenal vs Brighton
While City’s League form may be patchy they are still more than capable of giving Chelsea a few headaches in the early game before Arsenal’s all conquering side meet a Brighton side who themselves are having a great season.
Atletico Madrid vs Real Betis - 3:15pm Premier Player
A chaotic start to the season sees just two points separating 7th from 2nd in La Liga. A win for Atleti and they will leapfrog their opponents, a win for Betis and they could theoretically go top of the league (albeit with a game in hand). Basically, anything can happen in La Liga at the moment.
Roma vs Milan 19:45 - BT Sport
Having knocked league leaders Napoli off the top of their perch with to goalless draw last weekend, Roma now welcome a Milan side that are shaping up to be Napoli’s main title rivals. This looks set to be a huge game in what is easily the most competitive Serie A season in years.
Real Sociedad vs Athletic Club 8pm - La Liga TV
One of the most fiercely contested derbies anywhere on the planet, it’s worth a watch anytime Bilbao and Sociedad meet. In this absolutely insane La Liga season, it’s an absolute necessity.
