The weekend has arrived which means only one thing... football! We've pulled together what we think will prove to be a cracking set of fixtures for you and your mates to keep an eye on.
Let's dive in!
Saturday 27.11.21
Atalanta vs Juventus - 5pm - BT Sport 2
For years now Atalanta have laid claim to being about the most exciting team in Europe. Well, nothing has changed. Their last six fixtures have seen an impressive 28 goals and they’ll be facing a Juve side fresh off conceding four against Chelsea. This could get tasty.
Palmeiras vs Flamengo Copa libertadores final - 8pm
The biggest game in South American club football gets underway at 8 pm on Saturday. Flamengo go into the game as heavy favourites having scored 5,9 and 4 in the previous three rounds.
But with the tournament’s reigning champions Palmeiras triumphing over the heavily fancied Atletico Mineiro in their semi-final, they’ll certainly fancy themselves to make it two on the bounce.
Sunday 28.11.21
PSG vs St Etienne - 12pm - BT Sport 1
Since his arrival in the French capital, Leo Messi has barely completed a game in the domestic league. Hopefully that changes this Sunday against St Etienne and we can finally experience the expected dominance of the great man in the French league. Watch out for St Etienne’s England U-21 keeper Etienne Green, whose French mother named him after the club he now represents.
Manchester City vs West Ham - 2pm
A real test of David Moyes’ high-flying West Ham following their disappointing loss last time out. With Arsenal, Wolves, and Spurs all finding form it looks likely that West Ham will need a win to keep a foothold on fourth for at least another week.
Chelsea vs Manchester United - 4:30pm - Sky Sports Main Event
After a midweek win in the first game of the post Ole era, Michael Carrick’s United face a tough trip to league leaders Chelsea. They can at least take heart from the fact that Chelsea haven’t beaten United in the league since November 2017 - a run of six matches. It’ll be a hell of an achievement if they can make it seven.
Real Madrid vs Sevilla 8pm - Eleven/La Liga Tv
A clash of first and third but with Sevilla sitting just a point behind second-placed Sociedad - and with a game in hand - this looks to be a clash between the two best sides in Spain. One thing is for sure, whoever wins will sit atop La Liga come Monday morning.
Have a good weekend, football friends.
