Los Blancos recently booked their place in yet another Champions League final after a chaotic and dramatic semi final against Bayern Munich. Stoke City regular Joselu with the deceive goals under that new Bernabeu roof, sealing their spot at Wembley Stadium on June 1st. This edition will be manager Carlo Ancelotti's 6th European cup final and Real Madrid's 19th, a win against German side Borussia Dortmund would take Madrid's cup final wins to an astronomical 15, a 79% win rate in finals, ominous signs for Edin Terzić, Marco Reus, Jadon Sancho & Co.
With that being said, we recently got our hands on some lovely vintage Real Madrid deadstock which got us thinking about our favourite Los Blanco shirts from the same decade. A surprisingly barren Champions League winning decade considering the quality of the side during this time, the only win coming at the start in 2001/02 season thanks to an incredible Zinedine Zidine volley.
Anyway, here's our top ten Real Madrid shirts of the 2000's, as always, let us know who we've missed and what you would change.
10. 2006/07 Away
Our first entry on the list starts a continuing theme, Real Madrid look good in black. Styled by England legend David Beckham, this shirt is the highlight for the latter part of the decade, opposite colours from the home shirt perfectly finished with the FIFA award crest adjacent to the famous club crest.
9. 2004/05 Home
Declan Rice's favourite kit of all time, the current England & Arsenal star revealed during a TNT Sport interview last year. He says he lived in it, "all white with Becks on the back".

8. 2007/08 Home
This is the most modern shirt on this list, we love the throwback purple trim that pays homage to earlier shirts produced by Kelme, Hummel and of course adidas.
7. 2000/01 Home
The oldest shirt on this list is a beauty, this home shirt was worn during the 2000/01 season, worn here by Portuguese legend Luis Figo. The chunky collar, the lighter shade of stripes and the lovely Teka logo make this shirt really stand out against the others.
6. 2003/04 Third
The 03/04 third shirt worn here by club legend and longest serving captain Raul Gonzalez and Golden Balls, was only worn a handful of times by Los Blancos. It is a particular rare shirt usually reserved for the more avid collector.

5. 2001/02 Away
Another rare shirt for the collector now, worn by French legend Zinedine Zidane. A continuation of the aforementioned theme, black kit with the white sleeves and collar, topped off with the own brand sponsor.
4. 2001/02 Home
Now the home shirt of the 2001/02 season, worn again by Zizou, this time at his Bernabeu unveiling. Lovely all white kit with the light blue accents via the sleeves and sponsor. It's a thumbs up from us too.
3. 2002/03 CL Away
Worn during a game which featured one of the greatest individual performance in football, this beautiful black kit was worn by Ronaldo and the Galacticos when the Brazilian superstar was said to be waning in his career. Of course the lethal number 9 proved all the doubters wrong with a stunning hattrick at Old Trafford in an incredible 4-3 loss, though his goals were enough to take Madrid through on a 6-5 aggregate win.
2. 2000/01 Third
The last shirt in this list that follows the theme, this stunning black kit from adidas was worn at the start of the decade, donned here by French journeyman Nicholas Anelka. The orange trim pops off the shinny black material and the Teka sponsor finishes the design perfectly.
1. 2001/02 CL Home
This was always going to be number one wasn't it... quintessentially Madrid. All white, no sponsor due to Champions League ruling, added stripes running down the long sleeves and worn during the greatest goal ever scored in a Champions League final. What a shirt.
