CK: Who's your team?

WA: Manchester City since day dot

CK: For those reading about you for the first time, can you tell them a bit about yourself.

WA: I’m an avid football shirt collector, and for the past year and a half I’ve been creating football shirt and Manchester City content over on my Tik Tok page.

CK: How did you get into collecting football shirts?

WA: Ever since I was very young, every year I would get hold of Man City’s shirts every time a new one was released. It was around the age of 10 I started shirt hunting online and in shops for vintage football shirts and I’ve been obsessed ever since.

CK: Tell us about the first football shirt you ever owned.

WA: My first ever football shirt was the 2007/2008 Manchester City home shirt and I use a picture of me in this shirt for all my social media accounts. I still own that very shirt to this day and it will always be special to me due to it being the first shirt I owned.

CK: Would you say you have a fascination with kit history?

WA: Absolutely. I’m fascinated by every aspect of football shirts, so I love seeing the evolution and development of Materials and designs used over the years.

CK: Do you have a specific era that you like most when it comes to kits?

WA: For me it has to be the 1960s/1970s. I love the simplistic and timeless designs. It’s very rare you find a shirt from that era that doesn’t look just as good all these years later.

CK: What's your favourite kit in your personal collection?

WA: My favourite shirt in my collection has to be the 1993/94 Manchester City third shirt. My second love has always been music and this shirt is iconic due to being worn by Liam Gallagher in a famous Oasis photoshoot back in 1994, so to have such a good looking shirt from my favourite club be associated with one of my favourite bands, doesn’t get much better than that.

CK: If you had to pick your top 3 football shirts of all time, what would they be?

WA: 1. Manchester City 1969 Away Shirt. 2. Manchester City 1993/94 Third Shirt. 3. Manchester City 2022/23 Home Shirt.

CK: If you could take one football shirt with you to a desert island, what would it be?

WA: Any Man United Shirt to use as a fire starter!
