The 6/10 newsletter is inspired by US legend Michelle Akers, the 1999 World Cup champions and the Equal Pay Act of 1963.
A lot of the work the 1999 team did in terms of pay equality is being used today as legal precedent for teams around the world taking on their federations for equal pay and equal treatment for their women's programs.
The shirts made have metallic rose and gold graphics – one is a TENS CLUB v USSF legal case with reference to the Equal Pay Act, and the back is the 1999 badge illustrated to say PAY US, as the fight for equal pay continues, even as the US women far outperform the US men.
