When Jose Mourinho arrived at Chelsea, Veron was loaned out to Inter, initially for the 2004/5 season, subsequently remaining at the San Siro for a further season. At Inter, he was part of the squad that won the Coppa Italia in 2005 and 2006, and, as a result of the Calciopoli scandal, the 2006 Serie A title.
